Chubzy case study · Reliability
Pre-launch / In testingChubzy Production Reliability
Founder · Full-Stack Engineer · DevOps
A technical case study of how Chubzy is kept dependable and secure. A dating app handles personal data and real-world meetups, so reliability and security are designed in from the start rather than added after launch.
- Sentry
- Supabase
- PostgreSQL
- GitHub Actions
What I built
- Testing strategy
- Automated regression tests run as part of the delivery pipeline, so existing behavior is checked on every change.
- Observability with Sentry
- Errors are reported to Sentry, giving visibility into failures across platforms and the context needed to investigate them.
- Performance budgets
- Performance budgets set limits the app is expected to stay within, so regressions are caught instead of slowly accumulating.
- Incident investigation
- When something breaks, error reports and logs are used to trace the problem to its cause and fix it there.
- Database security
- Access to data is enforced in the database with row-level security, and sensitive operations are authorized on the server rather than trusted from the client.
